On SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, Belén Consolidated Schools is hosting our second annual community event at Belén High School. This day-long event provides informative and interesting workshops to help parents and guardians learn about different ways to help their children succeed in school. It is a wonderful opportunity for community members to come together to listen, learn, and socialize.
Information on a variety of topics such as parenting skills, future career opportunities (for the students), understanding No Child Left Behind, the gang & drug culture, nutrition, Internet safety, and much more will be provided AT NO COST to all who attend.
Our partner, Belén Community Center is offering free childcare for the day for children 4-13, and the District is providing a free lunch to the first 250 registrants.
There will be an exhibit area in the 9th Grade Academy from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm which will include displays from local businesses and organizations. In the cafeteria, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, all district schools will be showcasing what makes their school unique in our community.
Door prize drawings will be held throughout the day and a grand prize will be drawn at 3:30 pm (you must be present to win).
Come spend a another day learning how to help your child succeed in school!
