LODGING

A limited block of rooms has been held at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya at a special group rate of $179 single/double occupancy plus state and local taxes, which are currently 11.5% per night and a resort fee of $7.00 per room per night. To receive this rate, call the Hotel’s Reservation department at (505) 867-1234 or (800) 233-1234 by June 21, 2007. The conference rate cannot be guaranteed after the cut-off date. And rooms can not be guaranteed once our block is full. Be sure to ask for the “American Academy of Pediatrics” to receive the group rate. This rate is also available three days pre/post conference.

	DIRECTIONS/PARKING
Driving Directions from the Airport: Ask for instructions from your rental car agency to the I-25 north toward Santa Fe. Take I-25 approximately 19 miles to the NM-44 W / NM-165 E exit- EXIT 242- toward Rio Rancho / Placitas. Turn LEFT onto US-550 N / NM-165 S / NM-44 W. Continue to follow US-550 N / NM-44 W for 7 miles. After you pass the Casino, turn RIGHT at light on Tamaya Blvd to Tuyuna Trail (approx 2.4 miles) and turn right. This single lane, winding road leads directly to the resort. Follow the signs to “Guest Check in” Parking: There is ample free self parking. Valet parking is available at $15.00 per night with in-and –out privileges. Valet parking charges are subject to change. SHUTTLE SERVICE
Sunport Shuttle offers service to the Tamaya for $34 for the first person and $7 for each additional person each way. Their check-in counter is located inside the airport on the Baggage Claim Level across from Southwest's Baggage Carousel No. 3. WEATHER

Summers are warm and dry with the average daytime high in July in the 90’s and nighttime temperatures cooling down to the 60’s. With an average humidity of only 42% days the warmer temperatures are not uncomfortable.

GUESTS/FAMILIES

The Tamaya offers a Camp Hyatt Program for children ages 3- 12. Activities weave native arts and culture along with fun activities. The three heated pools, one with a waterslide, will keep older children busy for hours.

The resort also offers family activities in conjunction with the Santa Ana Pueblo including Tamaya Traditions, where you will work side by side with a Tamayame, learning the secret recipes and techniques used to make traditional pueblo oven bread; Pueblo Drum Making Classes; Clay and Culture, where Pueblo woman guide you as you mold clay in the traditional way using the pinch and coil method of pottery making; guided tours through the Bosque; adobe making and storytelling. Albuquerque and Santa Fe are just a short drive from the Tamaya.
