2010 Food Service Directors Training

The NM Public Education Department, Student Nutrition Bureau is excited to announce its 2010 Food Service Directors Training: Nourishing MORE Healthy Bodies and Minds.

Training highlights include:

  • A half-day session just for new food service directors on the National School Lunch Program
  • "Getting Down to Business." What's New and Other Information to Do Your Job!
  • Healthy Cooking food demonstrations
  • A full day of tools and resources to help nourish more healthy bodies and minds!

MorrisonOur keynote speaker, Shelley Morrison, has dedicated the past 20 years to becoming an expert in marketing school food service programs. Currently the owner of Marketing Works in Chandler, Arizona, Ms. Morrison was previously the executive director of Arizona’s Future for Child Nutrition. Through this non-profit group, she created a marketing plan to enhance the image and increase participation in the school meals programs in Arizona. Ms. Morrison has been featured as a keynote speaker at over 100 regional, state, and national school nutrition conferences. Additionally, she has conducted school food service training workshops for more than 750 school districts nationwide. Her articles on marketing and customer service have frequently appeared in school nutrition publications.

She will be presenting three segments on how to market your program and improve the bottom line of your business. Her tools and resources will help "enhance the image and increase the sales of school lunch and breakfast programs." You don't want to miss it!

We will also be showcasing schools that are excelling!
