Registration

General Information

There is NO COST to participate in the Institute, however, it is REQUIRED that teachers attend the FULL Institute. If you cannot commit to attending the Institute from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28 and 8:00 to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, please do not submit your name for consideration.

The following attendee expenses are covered by the Institute sponsors:

  • Cost of lodging for two nights (shared accommodations) for individuals who live more than 45 miles outside of Albuquerque
  • Breakfast and lunch both days
  • Curriculum materials
  • Reimbursement for up to two days for teacher’s substitute

 

Information for School Districts (other than Albuquerque Public Schools)
 

Each superintendent has identified a liaison to coordinate their district team for the Institute. If you would like to be considered for a spot on your district team, please contact your district liaison immediately. CLICK HERE for a listing of the district liaisons. Spaces are limited and district liaisons have been instructed to submit the names of their district team members to the Institute office by September 12.

School districts may send a team of up to seven (7) teachers: five (5) high/mid and two (2) elementary teachers. High/middle school teachers will focus on a single topic over the two days of the Institute whereas elementary teachers will touch upon all five topic areas. If you are a middle or high school teacher, when you speak with your liaison, make sure to let them know which one of the five topic areas you are most interested in learning about.

Once the team has been approved, registration instructions will be sent to each team member. If you apply for a district team, you are not registered for the Institute until you receive instructions for and complete the online registration process.

Information for Albuquerque Public Schools

Since APS is our largest district, we have allocated fifty (50) slots for high/middle school teachers and twenty (20) for elementary school teachers. Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the Institute does sell out. Since you do not need to coordinate through an intermediary, you may register directly online.  Please click the apple below to register now.
