The Amazing Newborns… Prematurity and Beyond Conference and Pre-conference will explore prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care issues. Current research, hands on opportunities, small group learning, and practical tools that can be used in caring for these patients will be presented during the 16th offering of the Amazing Newborn Conference.
Conference Objectives
1. Discuss the emerging trends in maternal, neonatal,
and pediatric care.
2. Describe common morbidities, treatment strategies,
and current research associated with prematurity.
3. Apply learned clinical skills to the care of maternal,
neonatal, pediatric patients and their families.
Pre-conference Objectives
Upon completion of the conference, the participant will more effectively…
1. Promote communication between all members of the
palliative care team, including medicine, nursing,
social work, chaplaincy, nutrition and pharmacy to
provide high quality palliative care for patients
and their families.
2. Provide education to palliative care team members
so that they can become an information resource
for patients and their families.
3. Understand the psychosocial and spiritual
concerns arising for individuals and families dealing
with end of life issues.
4. Affirm the life of the patient by enhancing the
quality of palliative care provided.
