EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

The New Mexico Department Health, Office of School and Adolescent Health, with support from the New Mexico Public Education Department, School and Family Support Bureau and KUNM Radio Station invites organizations to participate in the 12th annual Head to Toe Conference on School Health scheduled for April 15-17, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. 

The Head to Toe Conference on School Health provides training to school nurses, counselors, social workers and other professionals working directly and indirectly with student physical and behavioral health issues. Now in its 12th year, the conference, sponsored by the New Mexico Department of Health and Public Education Department draws up to 700 professionals from throughout New Mexico. Of the 2007 conference attendees, 19% indicated they were counselors, 15% social workers and 27% school nurses. Attendees represented 86 different cities in New Mexico, 3 in Texas, 3 in Colorado and 3 in Arizona.

2008 Conference highlights:

  • Two nationally renown keynote presenters: DJ Vanas, author, Native Discovery Inc., Colorado Springs, CO and Robert Murray, PhD, Director, Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH
  • 70 workshops for school health professionals.
  • Conference bookstore.
  • Five pre-conference workshops. Topics include Drop Out, Suicide and Truancy Prevention; Youth Empowerment; and Pandemic Influenza.
  • New for 2008 – youth programming and attendance by Heath Promotion and Health Council members.

 

Exhibit Hall Highlights:

  • Two designated times to visit exhibits, 10:15 – 11:00 am and 2:45 – 3:15 pm as well as time after lunch service and in the morning during registration.
  • The exhibit hall will AGAIN be in the ballroom next to our lunch room, allowing us to recruit and accommodate more exhibitors than ever before.
  • Traffic building activities that don’t require valuable booth worker time such as an exhibit booth scavenger hunt.
  • Continual door prizes.
  • Educational poster sessions.
  • Wellness area.
  • Food Service.
  • Live Entertainment.

All exhibitors will have a full day (April 16) of access to the conference attendees and specific exhibit viewing time has been designated in the programming.  We will have a bookstore to supplement the exhibit area.

A limited number of scholarships are available for nonprofit organizations that may have difficulty covering the registration fee.  If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, please submit a letter describing how our attendees could benefit from your participation. This year exhibitors will register through our online system. It's fast and easy. You can pay by credit card or check. POs will not be accepted. Before you begin the registration process you will need the following information:

  • A brief description of your organization
  • Names of booth workers
