The 2008 NM PreK Institute will be held on Monday, November 17th and Tuesday, November 18th at the Albuquerque Convention Center, located in the heart of downtown Albuquerque at 401 2nd St. NW.  For directions please CLICK HERE. 

The theme of the Institute is Everyday's a Science Fair and features innovative ways to incorporate science early learning outcomes into New Mexico PreK curriculum and hands-on activities that promote the use of science in the classroom. We will have a lot of great activities, inspiring keynote presentations and the opportunity to view a model classroom which is being set up for us by Lakeshore Learning Materials to demonstrate a developmentally appropriate environment aligned to the New Mexico early learning outcomes .   Best of all, the entire classroom will be raffled off to Institute attendees along with many other great classroom tools.

A very special evening is planned for Monday, November 17, at Explora!, Albuquerque's hands-on children's museum whose mission is to create opportunities for inspirational discovery and the joy of lifelong learning through interactive experiences in science, technology and art. The museum will be opened just for attendees of the PreK Institute to play and discover!
